Antiracist Knowledge annotated bibliography of anti-racist theory Call for tenders open until Mai 11th 2023 The German Institute for Human Rights is the independent National Human Rights Institution of Germany (§ 1 GIHR law). It is accredited according to the Paris Principles of the United Nations (A status). The Institute’s activities include the provision of advice on policy issues, human rights education, information and documentation, applied research on human rights issues and cooperation with international organisations. It is supported by the German Bundestag. The Institute is mandated to monitor the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and established Monitoring Bodies for these purposes. The Institute is seeking a contractor who can help consolidate an expanding canon on antiracist knowledge, with a focus on decolonization work (e.g., Aimé Césaire, Frantz Fanon), post-colonial theory (e.g., Stuart Hall), Critical Migration Studies, and Critical Race theory. After giving an overview of the fundaments of anti-racist theory, the contractor should present the key concepts of our time. The research delivered should be more descriptive than analytical, understood as an annotated bibliography. The scope of work consists of the following products: • A brief overview of the fundaments of anti-racist theory • An annotated bibliography of anti-racist theory within the last 10 to 15 years • Presentation and discussion of the results at the Institute Delivery: Offer by 11/05/2023 12.00h, assignment by 15/05/2023, first draft by 01/07/23, final product after incorporation of comments by 01/08/2023.
